The future of AI in marketing

Over the summer we have all noticed the many changes LinkedIn have been rolling out to its 175+ million users as part of its first major redesign. A lot of these changes seem to be purely to the look and design, giving LinkedIn a much needed update! However, they have also added some interesting new features which should prove really useful.
So, what exactly have they changed?
LinkedIn now has a new, simpler and much more modern homepage design, which should make it much easier to stay up to date and connect with people in your network.
New look company pages
The new design of company pages makes it much easier for you to follow companies you are interested in and see their news, updates, insights and career opportunities.
It will also make it much easier for companies to represent their brand and share their identity on Linked In, as well as keeping followers up to date with latest news and job opportunities. A select few companies have been given early access to the new look company page. One of these selected companies is Dell so you can take a look their new company page here.
The new notifications flag at the top of your home page makes it much easier to see at a glance when new comments and likes are made on your posts.
This means you will be able to access more information directly from your inbox, enabling you to see latest LinkedIn activity and photos, email your connections directly and instantly send invitations to connect on LinkedIn from outlook.

Ability to follow thought leaders
One of the latest features is that you can now follow, share and comment on the updates of any of the 150 most influential thought leaders on LinkedIn. I’ve started following the likes of Richard Branson, Jeff Weiner and James Caan but you can take your pick from them all here.
The new endorsements feature allows you to endorse one of your connections skills with one quick click. Endorsements are shown in the skills and expertise section of the LinkedIn profile so you can see how many endorsements someone has for each of their skills. It also means it’s more important to make sure your own profile is up to date with the correct skills and experience on your profile.
The ability to write a recommendation for someone is still there and will carry much more weight, but it’s a nice way to show your connections you appreciate their professional skills and experience.
