How are the latest trends increasing demand for Data Scientists?

We recently wrote about 5 reasons a candidate should use a specialist recruiter and looked at how this can benefit candidates during their job search, but we also wanted to have a look at how this can help and benefit clients and hiring managers during the recruitment process.
When you are looking to make new hires and are turning towards a recruitment agency you may be asking yourself if you should use a general agency or a specialist, while both have their pros and cons using a specialist recruitment agency can offer your business multiple benefits.
As the name suggests this can only really apply to specialist agencies and their recruitment consultants, as they literally live and breathe their chosen industry. These agencies will dedicate time to training and teaching their staff to ensure they know the industry inside out. The recruitment consultants within these specialist fields should be able to hold a full conversation with understanding of the market, meaning you can get straight to the point when discussing your recruitment needs.
As specialists in an industry the agency will have a pool of carefully vetted candidates with the specific skills you need. By knowing the market inside out, sourcing and engaging the perfect candidate can be easier as they already know who may be the right fit to the job, in the right location and at the right rate or salary. Instead of massed advertising and spraying and praying with massed mail shots, a specialist agency will be in touch with right people as soon as you ask them to source a candidate.
As the agency has the industry knowledge and the candidate relationships it makes the process quicker. While a general agency may be able to find the candidates, a specialist consultant will be able to look at a CV and know whether they have the right skills or not, they will also know the right questions to ask the candidate before you are sent the CV, meaning there are less irrelevant CVs for you to look at as the agency will have already done the screening process.
There are plenty of benefits to using a specialist recruitment agency, and here at KDR we pride ourselves on our industry knowledge and candidate relationships within the data and analytics industry.
