Raising money for Billie’s Butterfly

Tickets are selling like the proverbial hotcakes for a charity ball to be held at Toft Cricket Club on Friday 25th November. The ball is in aid of the Billie Butterfly Fund, raising vital funds for four year old Billie Bainbridge who was diagnosed with terminal cancer of the brain stem in July this year and whose parents are trying to raise £200,000 for life-extending treatment for her. Devastatingly, cancer has hit this small family twice, with Mum Terri already battling breast cancer.

KDR are sponsoring the event, having learnt about Billie’s plight from her cousin Chris Bongard, who works for the firm.

Commenting on the event, KDR Managing Director Mark Dexter said “When Chris explained what his family are going through, we wanted to do whatever we could to help. We’d love to see the cricket club packed to the rafters so that everyone can enjoy a great evening whilst contributing something towards the cost of Billie’s treatment in Texas.”

Tickets for the ball cost just £12 and guests will enjoy a buffet and live music, plus a live charity auction. Prizes up for grabs include a hospitality day at Oulton Park, a Mum’s pamper day and tickets and memorabilia donated by Manchester United and Manchester City.

To book your place, call Chris on 07935 429 411 or email Chris at cbongard@hotmail.co.uk.
