5th December 2016

It’s that time of the month again when we find out more random stuff about the KDR team. And now we’re in December we can start to officially talk about the 25th, so there was only one thing to find out about the team: what are their favourite Christmas films?

Here are KDR’s top Christmas films

Home Alone

Home Alone

“Home Alone 1 & 2 are the best Christmas films ever made! They remind me of my childhood and everything fun about Christmas” – Shaz

“It reminds me of Christmas – mainly because I’ve ended up watching it every year since I was like 6 years old.” – Chris

Chris also said it was because the film is “less romanticised than your average Christmas film and reminds us that it isn’t always a happy and straight-forward time of year!”

Bad Santa

Bad Santes

“It’s hilarious” – Ben

The Muppet Christmas Carol

“As I am Christmas Scrooge I think there is no better film than the Muppet’s Christmas Carol” – Ethan

National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation

“Simply because it reminds me of my own family and the humour is dry and sarcastic just like me” – Amy

Gremlins

Gremlins

“Rule breaking, monsters and a cute fluffy critter – what Christmas is made of!” - Leon

The Grinch

The Grinch

“Because I’d rather not ‘do’ Christmas, but have four kids so have to get involved and this is a real motivator!” – Mark

“I am not a fan of Christmas so naturally I’m going to choose The Grinch. I’m completely with him up until the point he gives Christmas back and his heart grows!” – Gemma

Harry Potter

Harry Potter

“Not really a Christmas film but I always sit down and binge watch the Harry Potter films” – Mike

Mike also admitted to binge watching Star Wars and Lord of the Rings.

Every Christmas film!

It's a wonderful life

“There are just so many classics! The only holiday that I enjoy is Christmas so when the time comes I go all out.” – Anise

Anise said the films on the top of her list would include:

  • It’s a Wonderful Life
  • Miracle on 34th Street
  • Polar Express
  • Gremlins
  • White Christmas
  • The Nightmare before Christmas
