Lead Software Trainer – Java

How would you like to define, build, deliver and own a Software Engineering curriculum in a growing company that builds products for the likes of Amazon, Google and Microsoft?

Our client is looking for a talented Lead Software Trainer who has experience delivering training to aspiring Java Developers for graduate programmes and apprenticeships.

This is a critical hire for the company as they are looking to double the size of their engineering department in 2020 for the fifth year in a row.

This role will see you:

  • Consulting with leaders in the Software Engineering department to create a syllabus for introducing new engineers to the fundamentals of code, development, architecture and their code base
  • Working with the different teams to identify knowledge gap and create bitesize courses to help improve
  • Creating e-learning resources
  • Creating and running hackathons, group learning sessions etc
  • Assisting management with identifying training needs for individual members
  • Define and build a curriculum for 2020 graduate programme and apprenticeship scheme.

This is a unique but important hire for the business, you will be given the freedom to make business defining decision and the continued to support from the CTO and Director of Software Engineering.
