Lead Data DevOps Engineer | London | £80,000 – £110,000 per year

Our client a leading FTSE 100 financial services company are looking to build a robust, scalable, production data platform for the purposes of data science. The Lead Data DevOps Engineer will design and build an automated data capability.

You’ll be an experienced Data Engineer with automation and DevOps experience. On top of this you’ll have the availability to work at senior level within the organisation to embed Agile practices and move the organisation towards a DataOps culture.

The speed in which the business now wants/needs to consume data is driving the data group to increase the cadence of delivery of analytics and to do this they need someone to take charge of the data pipeline automation and delivering DataOps pipelines.

It is ESSENTIAL you have….

• Previously automated the Data SDLC and understand DataOps theory and practice
• Strong Data engineering and automation technology experience: SQL, Python, Alteryx, Spark, Hadoop, MongoDB, Snowflake, Jenkins, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Streamsets, DataKitchen etc.
• Leadership experience and able to embed Agile (SCRUM) ways of working

You will…

• design and build robust, scalable, automated data pipelines
• implement CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins
• drive the cultural shift towards DataOps within the organisation
• create a self-serve capability for data science
