Junior Software Engineer

To succeed in this role, you will need a proven track record of delivering high quality software services across a range of industries. You will also need to have experience managing or leading a software development practice and be able to demonstrate good architectural design experience.

You will need to demonstrate a history of designing, implementing and delivering software solutions and applications.

What you will be progressing to do:

  • Hands on development of services and application integrations
  • Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Directing the work of both internal and outsourced engineers to ensure the best practices around software delivery
  • Develop architectural designs and detailed technical solution designs
  • Create detailed engineering plans, processes, and procedures
  • Conduct various tests and quality assurance checks to verify the quality of completed projects
  • Drive change to implement efficient and effective

The skills you will be given training in (You will need to have some knowledge of Python/Scala/Java)

  • Python, Scala
  • RDBM’s and or document DBs (e.g. Exasol, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, CosmosDB etc)
  • Delivering solutions in any of the major cloud platforms
