IT Manager

We are working with a globally distributed Software Company that due to their continued success and growth, is seeking an IT Manager to ensure their people have the right equipment and software in-place and available when they need it. The role will require some up-font effort to establish new platforms and processes which would suit someone with prior experience.

As an IT Manager, you will be responsible for

  • Procuring new equipment and configure for first use
  • Upgrading and patching existing Linux systems
  • Troubleshooting (this will likely be towards the Linux environment)
  • Printer management including consumable replacement
  • Network management
  • User management (handling password resets, on-boarding new users)

This role will be in our client’s HQ in Manchester where you will enjoy a modern and newly designed office space with Table Tennis tables, a bar and retro arcade machines. In addition to this there are fantastic transport links or if you prefer to drive you will be provided with free parking!

As an IT Manager, it is important you have:

  • Linux system administrator skills
  • Experience of creating detailed self-help guides
  • PC troubleshooting skills
  • Good understanding of TCP/IP and network subnetting/routing

This role will require working across multiple time zones and helping remote colleagues, so excellent communication skills are essential. Their development teams have a high demand on their equipment, so you will be required to identify solutions which work for those requirements
