Data Warehouse Developer – London

Data Warehouse Developer | London | £45,000 – £55,000 per year

Have you built data warehouses from the ground upwards? Would you consider yourself an “individual contributor” who likes to take ownership of a project? Do you thrive in environments where you can embed a data culture?

I am looking for a Data Manager for a client I am working with who are looking for someone who answers YES to the above!

Having over 40 branches across the world, my client has a wealth of data generated by many different sources & need help consolidating all of this. They are the worlds leaders in what they do, so they must be on top of their game when it comes to data & have a clear plan on how they want to expand on this over the next few years.

As a Data Manager, you will ensure that all data is processed, and quality assured so that it can be analysed through appropriate business systems with a view to the production of reports that can assist stakeholders to make effective decisions.

Within the company, there are 6 departments who essentially capture information in raw format; using Excel spreadsheets & your traditional pen and paper. Your role will be to –

  • Build a data warehouse.
  • Cleanse, structure & segment the data
  • Embed a real “data culture” within the organisation
  • Make sure the data is secure and GDPR compliant
  • Build dashboards using PowerBI

To do this, you will need the following skills…

  • Have previously built a data warehouse from the ground upwards
  • Data modelling
  • Worked with large datasets
  • Excellent communication – this is really key for this role; to find someone who is able to communicate regularly with key stakeholders
  • Have worked with data visualisation tools such as PowerBI

With the current COVID-19 restrictions, you will be working from home full time. However, once the situation changes, they would like employees to have the flexibility and choice of either WFH or coming into the office. As you will be managing this from the ground up, there will be potential to recruit as a team as this grows, so being in the office (Central London) a couple of times a week would be beneficial for you & the company.

In return, you can expect the following compensation & benefits –

  • Between £45,000 to £55,000 as a basic salary depending on experience
  • 25 days hol + bank holidays
  • Excellent pension scheme with a minimum of 8% employer contribution
  • Healthcare
  • Life assurance
  • Additional benefits (when things are back to normal, we can benefit from ALL of these)

If you’re interested in finding out more about this role, please do get in touch. If you don’t have a CV yet, don’t worry – I can help!
