Data Modeller – Finance/Insurance – NoSQL

Our client in Worthing has thousands of users consuming critical business information via their dashboards in this data rich environment, where actionable insight and data driven decisions are part of their culture.

With cutting-edge analytics platforms at their fingertips, they’re looking for you, a Data Modeller with conceptual, physical and logical Data Modelling experience and a genuine passion for working with Big Data tech, and the Microsoft BI stack in order to extract the maximum amount of value from their data to take their Business Intelligence to the next level. Reporting to the Head of Data, you’ll be pivotal in expanding and developing sleek and highly performing Data Models for our client.

Your New Team:

All about the culture? You’ll be working with a strong team, who’re all experts in their niche and reporting to a Manager who is known for investing in their people and developing individuals in this 30 strong squad.

You’ll primarily own the data modelling, data dictionary, and data lineage management in traditional environments as well as non-relational/distributed databases, such as NoSql.

  • With 1m customers to serve, you’ll be kept extremely busy, but internal customers are just as important. You’ll collaborate with senior leadership, the wider business and IT to ensure key data aspects of projects are understood by various audiences.

Who Are You?

  • You’ll have substantial experience of Data modelling in the support of Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Metadata and complex Data Migration solutions.
  • Ideally, you’ll bring relational and NoSQL design methodologies to our client
  • Insurance or financial industry experience would make you a superstar candidate
  • You’ve created Data Dictionaries, Data Glossaries for your previous employers – so any experience with the Data Governance space would be amazing.
  • Experienced with front-end tools such as Business Objects, PowerBI, QlikView or Tableau
  • Not afraid or reluctant to get involved with different project-based work, as well as your BAU activities. You’ll succeed in this company if you have a hunger and willingness to learn – there’s endless opportunities for people with this sort of attitude.
