We are looking for a data engineer to steer the success of an award-winning consultancy by developing their data processing capabilities. You will join a growing team of analytics specialists and be encouraged to take ownership over a web-scraping solution that has been providing commercial success to local and global clients across a diverse range of markets.

What you will do as a data engineer:

• Develop a revolutionary web-scraping solution and a cloud-based data warehouse
• Be given exclusive access to data resources
• Build data pipelines and manipulate data using Python and SQL in an AWS environment
• Identify and solve issues to improve data processes and storage
• Collaborate with the wider business to innovate products
• Develop your personal and technical skillset in a friendly and dynamic team

What experience you will need:

• Skilled in using Python for programming and SQL for data extraction (at least 1-3 years)
• Experience of ETL processes, this can be from an existing tool such as SSIS
• Strong communication skills and ability to communicate to non-technical audiences
• Experience of cloud technology, such as AWS, Azure or GCP
• Degree in a highly numerical subject

Ideally, you will have:

• Web-scraping experience
• Good use of data visualisation such as Power BI or Tableau
