Data Architect

Are you an experienced Data Architect with proven Data Migration capabilities? Do you have strong understanding of Azure’s data environment? Want to be part of a 2 years programme with an initial 12 month contract?

7 months into a huge on-premise to Azure data migration project, our client is now seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead a team to deliver. You’ll join a consultancy on-site with their client who work within the Financial Services sector, you’ll need to be able to gather requirements from the client as well as deliver technically and with 2 years left on this programme, they offer great stability in a challenging contracting market.

On site, 4 days a week in Leeds + 1 day remote, we are seeking the following from our Data Architect;

  • Strong understanding of Azure DATA ecosystem – minimum two projects
  • Ability to showcase previous experience in data migrations projects
  • Spark for ETL
  • Data migration with large volumes of data (to Azure data lake)
  • Data transformation leveraging PySpark or similar tool
  • Deep expertise with Data warehousing (esp Azure SQL DW)
  • Integration services like SSIS and similar
  • Experience with ADF, data governance setup
  • Knowledge and ability to showcase hands on experience with Azure technologies – Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, Databricks, HD Insights, Azure SQL DB, Spark, etc
  • Financial services client, ideally seeking a candidate within this market sector

Clients offering;

  • 12 month initial contract with a view for a 12 month extension
  • £600 – £700 per day
  • On-site in Leeds to start – this might flex further down the programme
