I have an exciting new opportunity for you to join a strong and dynamic company as an Application Packager Analyst. You will be responsible for packaging requests through the full life cycle from package discovery to release.

The Role:

There will be 3 main environments within this role including pre-packaging, packaging & deployment.

Pre-Packaging - You will gather and analyze the application requirements to make sure the application will work with the existing company infrastructure. Also working with clients to incorporate customizations needed for applications to work as needed. Then Document all the necessary additions, modifications and customizations for applications.

Packaging – You will be Packaging and/or repackaging any new applications following documentation created in pre-packing phase or as delivered by the scripting analysts, adhering to corporate packaging and scripting standards. This will include the packaging of new versions or existing software using management tools. Then you will be testing the packaged applications to ensure the application launches and runs properly when deployed

Deployment – Finally you will create delivery objects for packaged applications and work with the Microsoft Technologies team for application file and object distribution

Requirements:

  • You will have a strong knowledge of Managed Windows environments
  • Strong experience with MSI Application packaging for Windows 32 & 64
  • Strong knowledge of APP-V 4.6, 5.1 and their sequences
  • Experience of providing 3rd line support to other technical teams
