Data Engineering Manager | Southampton | 3 days a week in the office | £70,000 – £90,000

A bit more about the role

• You’ll be leading a team of 2 Data Engineers using Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Lakes as well as coding in Python
• It will be a hands on leadership role, so you’ll be involved developing solutions in Azure
• You’ll be working closely with Data Science teams, in a genuinely data driven company
• The role will be hybrid working, with 3 days a week just outside Southampton and 2 days a week working remotely

The company you’ll be joining

A financial services sector company, they are a very well backed startup, with around 30 employees currently. AI, ML and data driven decisions is what they do best, with around half the team being technical helping them to stand out in their field.

Experience required for the role

• Experience with cloud technologies, they use Azure ( Databricks, ADF, Synapse, Data Lakes)
• A strong knowledge of data warehousing methodologies,
• Knowledge of improving Data Quality and Data Governance within organisations would be beneficial for this role
• Experience leading or mentoring teams would also be beneficial for this role
• Skilled coding in Python or PySpark
